SAME STORY, DIFFERENT TALES.
The concert to mark the International day of the disappeared
Stories of missing persons and their families might be different, but they share the same fortune. Today, more than 4,500 people in the region are missing in relation to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. As a result, more than 25,000 family members are living through anguish of not knowing what happened to their loved ones.
On September 16, the ICRC, with the support and participation of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons and the Ministry of Culture, organized a concert to mark the International Day of the Disappeared and to commemorate those who went missing in relation to the conflict and other situations of violence around the world. The concert featured songs composed based on the poems written by missing family members.
